Environmental Health & Safety

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) provides and coordinates programs and services that minimize safety, health, environmental, and regulatory risks. To report an environmental or workplace safety concern, register for training, review health and safety guidelines, request services like emergency preparedness, chemical disposal or an ergonomic evaluation, visit EH&S.

Faculty Staff Help Center

Services offered by the Staff Faculty Help Center for the Stanford community include counseling, workshops, discussion groups, facilitated conversations, consultation and training, and retreat facilitation. All services are free of charge.

Health Improvement Program

The Stanford Health Improvement Program (HIP) is a division of the Stanford Prevention Research Center, a department within the Stanford School of Medicine. HIP provides health education classes and group fitness classes, and advocates policies that support environments conducive to healthy lifestyle behaviors.

The Information Security Office (ISO) oversees the Stanford community's efforts to protect its computing and information assets and to comply with pertinent laws, regulations, and policies. They offer recommendations for avoiding identity theft and protecting your computer from viruses. To report an incident or a lost or stolen device, contact ISO.

The Stanford University Occupational Health Center (SUOHC) is a campus-based medical clinic that offers evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses, work-related preventive medical services, travel medicine, and OSHA and departmentally-mandated medical surveillance programs for university staff. However, for immediate life-threatening emergencies, call 911 or 9-911 from a campus phone.

From its inception, the Office of the Ombuds was designed to be a neutral, confidential, and informal channel for resolving conflicts within the university. They are a resource to help you resolve and cope more effectively with tough situations that may arise in your work environment.

Do you know or suspect that an event may have violated the privacy of an individual(s)?  Let the Privacy Office know. They are committed to working with parties across the Stanford community to protect the integrity of data collected, created, transmitted, released and stored by Stanford affiliates and entities.

If you have experienced any form of sexual or relationship violence, we are here to support you. Confidential counseling, emergency response and medical support are available to assist you, 24 hours a day. You can choose the resources you're most comfortable contacting.
